Fire Company Officer - Lieutenant
- As an officer for the North Naples Fire District, I am ultimately responsible for the life safety of my crew and the residents in my primary response district.
- Served on the North Naples Chapter 175 Pension Board as a trustee from 1998-2002. This pension plan has a current value of approximately 11 million dollars.
- I have aggressively pursued educational opportunities during my tenure with the District and have earned a Fire Science Degree from Edison College.
- In addition to college coursework, I have attended numerous classes with concentration on Officer Leadership/Development, Incident Command, and Weapons of Mass Destruction.
2007-2007 Campaign Manager State Representative • District 101
Campaign Manager
As a campaign manager for the Florida House of Representatives District 101 race, I was involved with every aspect of the campaign. I was responsible for strategy, fundraising, procurement of services i.e. consultants, direct mail, signs, and advertising.- I demonstrated strategic decision making ability for large scale direct mailings.
- I was responsible for the organization of over 30 volunteers during this campaign.
- Ultimately, I was in charge of the coordination of our campaign resources.
- This operation was a 60 day special election. Our campaign was able to generate close to $40,000 of contributions in less than 45 days.
2007-2008 lee County Affordable Housing Committee • Estero, FL
Committee Member for District 3
- Appointed by Lee County Commissioner Ray Judah to represent District 3.
- Our goal is to identify and develop recommendations to be submitted to the B.O.C.C. for their review and resolution, and to help ensure there is an adequate supply of decent housing that is affordable to low and moderate income families.
- Moved to deny impact fee increases.

Health Insurance Advisory Committee - Chairman
- Our committee was instrumental in decreasing the cost of the District’s employee health insurance plan by almost 1 million dollars in F.Y. 2004-2005.
- We procured the engagement of an independent consultant to provide for future savings.
- In 2007 we decreased our health care insurance cost by $500,000 with 96% plan consistency.
- Assisted in creating a private retirement investment account intended to provide employees with decent health insurance and to reduce the District’s post separation financial burden.
2003-2008 International Association of FirefighterS • Naples, FL
Executive Board Officer Local 2297
- Member of the lead negotiation team for the 2004 and 2007 employee wage and benefit contract worth an estimated 20 million dollars. Both three year package agreements.
- Oversight and approval of charitable and operational budget expenditures of Local 2297.
- Elected at large by the body of almost 200 members for 2 consecutive terms.
- Assisted in the direction of successful charitable events such as the Annual Firefighters Ball at the Pelican Strand Country Club in 2007 & The Ritz Carlton of Naples in 2008.

- Appointed to the Colonial Oaks H.O.A. and assisted in the changing of management companies.
- Our 5 person board is tasked with the oversight and approval of expenditures with a budget of nearly $300,000 annually for the community.
- Aggressively pursued increased fiscal responsibility of the management company to ensure a better dollar for dollar value to the residents within my community.

A Personal Note
My family and I love the community that we live in. Southwest Florida is truly a gem and I am proud as well as fortunate to raise my family here. The care that I have for this community keeps me energized, and that energy drives me to be active and lend a hand to the residents and families of this area so we can preserve the paradise in which we live.
